Vertus Mourns the Loss of International Security Advisor
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the recent death of Captain Tim Holden, USN (Ret.), one of Vertus’ respected advisory board members.
Captain Holden graduated from the U.S Naval Academy in 1972 with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. He then graduated Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training in 1973. He went on to earn his Ocean Engineering degree as well as his Master’s Degree in Management Science. During his military career, Tim served as Commanding Officer of SEAL Team ONE in San Diego. He deployed as Deputy Commander, Naval Special Warfare Task Group Central, in support of Operation DESERT SHIELD, and as Commander of Naval Special Warfare Task Unit MIKE for Operation DESERT STORM. Captain Holden also served as Commodore Special Warfare Group ONE in San Diego.
After retiring in 2001, Captain Tim Holden, USN (Ret.), joined the business world, where he held several corporate leadership positions including advisor to Vertus, Inc. on Strategic International Operations.
Those of us at Vertus will certainly miss Captain Tim Holden as an invaluable advisor, due to his many years of service and dedication to our country, and most importantly; as a friend.
Captain Tim Holden, USN (Ret.), is survived by his wife and his daughters.
