Hitting your target, whether a deer or a paper silhouette, from 18 yards is quite different than neutralizing a deadly threat from 7ft. That is why we’ve designed the training for this course to be different from typical firearms training protocols.
Did you know that most Law Enforcement encounters occur within 7ft? And that most traditionally trained Law Enforcement, miss with the first two rounds fired? The hit percentage for Law Enforcement in the United States is approximately 17%, this means that only seventeen percent of rounds fired at a threat actually hit the threat. In Israel, the hit percentage is approximately 78%.
Vertus has been called upon to retrain many traditionally trained Law Enforcement, Military, and Intelligence personnel before they become the next one added to that statistic.
While the Principles of Marksmanship are always applicable, understanding the physiological and psychological responses to eminent life threat is crucial to your survival. It’s crucial to changing the statistics above. Now, these principles are being taught to law abiding, respectable citizens like yourself.
Our training doctrine consists of a set of principles that includes calculated defense, deterrent posture, a mind set of not being able to afford to lose, preventing escalation and acting quickly and decisively.
The training you will be receiving in this course is the same training taught by the same instructors who provide the training for the Military, Law Enforcement and Intelligence communities.
You will be training live fire and simulated life threatening situations.
