Vertus Awarded Advanced Anti Terrorism/Mobility Driving Course
On April 12th, 2010, Vertus (formerly Special Operations Services, Inc.) was awarded the “Active On November 18, 2010 Vertus was awarded the Advanced Anti Terrorism/Mobility Driving Course by the Department of Homeland Security Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. This course was in support of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), Counter Threat Operations Course and was based in Ft. Dix, New Jersey on December 10- 13, 2010.
As a performance based company, Vertus, once again, took the initiative to take this training to the next level. By incorporating simulated IED explosions and Simunitions realistic training into the course curriculum, combined with a Team of instructors, each an expert in their specialty, Vertus set a new bar for this course.
The curriculum for this course encompassed low/high speed instinctive driving with surprise drills, Advanced Vehicle Maneuvers (AVM’s), Tactical Vehicle Recovery and Off Road Driving, all in a variety of scenarios that coincided with the Counter Threat/Anti-Terrorism theme.
